AIM OF NCC

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

The three colours in the flag depict the three services of the Corps, red for the Army, deep blue for the Navy and light blue for the Air Force. The letters NCC and the NCC crest in gold in the middle of the flag encircled by a wreath of lotus, give the flag a colourful look and a distinct identity.

NCC is administered by Ministry of Defense and is headed by a Director General (DG) who monitors its functioning through the DG NCC HQ in Delhi. NBGSM College NCC students are attached with Army unit of Group HeadQuarter Rohtak, 5HaryanaBattalion NCC, Gurugram, Haryana. NBGSM College also gives weightage to the NCC Certificate holders at the time of admission in various PG courses offered by the college. Due procedure is followed as per the MDU/UGC rules and regulations.

It inspires cadets to participate in various activities throughout the year which includes attending various prestigious National camps like National Integration Camp, Combined Annual Training Camp/Annual Training Camp, Rock Climbing Camp, Advance Leadership Camp etc.

Total sanctioned strength allocated to NBGSM College is 107 Cadets and each cadet is selected through the proper selection procedure as coordinated with the unit.

NBGSM College NCC Unit does not strive only to provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces, but also to train and motivate youth, and inculcate spirit of courage & bravery to face any sort of situation in life.
